I just love a pretty bedroom. There's something about a big open space that you get to sleep in that is so.. serene. The bedroom David and I sleep in currently is small. Not complaining, I mean, we have somewhere to sleep, but as soon as we move out of this apartment, I've already got big plans of making our space more enjoyable to live in!
I love the hardwood floor and the grey bed spread in this room. I think it would be fun to have a lot of neutral.. and then add pops of color here and there via pillows, lamps, etc.

This rug would go perfectly in the above room.

I love the idea of using an old mantel for a headboard. Its so unique and looks like it would be super easy to create.

Wouldn't it be fun to have a neat chair like this somewhere in your room to sit and read?

Gosh, all of these photos are beautiful! We moved into a new home back in Sept., but I haven't really done much to our bedroom because I'm not sure what direction I want to take. I see something I like and think "oh yes! That's what I want to do!", and then I see something else I like and change my mind :)
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful inspirations! I love that chevron rug, and the teal chair...the colors are perfect!
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous inspirations, I love the mantle idea!
ReplyDeleteOooh, these are all so pretty and I really love the design on/above that mantle!!! I'll be honest, I prefer a smaller bedroom. I don't like sleeping in a big open space, for me if I'm surrounded by walls I feel SO much better!!! Right now our bed is against the wall, with our cockatiels cage flush against the other side! It's cozy! ^_^
ReplyDeleteLove that headboard! Such great taste. :)
ReplyDeletenot sure how i missed this post, but GOODNESS, what lovely things you have on here!!!! i've seen quite a few "headboard" ideas but never a mantle. love that! thanks for linking up -- xoxo
