I love it. My husband loves it. My family loves it.
Seriously one of my FAVORITE recipes ever & its so simple!

ingredients (makes about four-five servings):
1 sleeve of ritz crackers
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1.5-2 lbs of chicken
8oz container of sour cream
1 tbsp poppy seeds
1 stick of butter

1 sleeve of ritz crackers
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1.5-2 lbs of chicken
8oz container of sour cream
1 tbsp poppy seeds
1 stick of butter

start by cooking your chicken. I usually chop it up & throw it in a boiling pot of water with a little bit of garlic salt!
While your chicken is cooking, take a sleeve of ritz crackers and crush them (I use the bottom of a glass).

when your chicken is cooked, place chicken, sour cream, & cream of chicken in a separate bowl and mix.

I make this meal all the time!! It is the best meal on wheels too! It will be delivered to 3 different friends next week to help welcome their new babies:)
ReplyDeleteMmmm, this sounds tasty! I'm always looking for good chicken recipes (we don't eat red meat because of some of my husband's health issues), and I think he would like this one! :)
ReplyDeleteYumm! I'm going to have to try this!

ReplyDeleteOh, this reminds me of a time in college when I went home with one of my friends. She had the most delightful family and her mom made Poppy Seed Chicken. Delish!! Cant wait to make it.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds delicious! I'm always on the lookout for new chicken recipes! I love it, but the hubs is a lesser fan... Trying to come up with something he'll really like is taking time!
ReplyDeleteUmm this looks amazing. I don't cook but even I could make this!
ReplyDeleteI don't mean that in a "this looks so easy" in a LAME way, I mean it in a "you are awesome because you make it look accessible" way. :)
DeleteWe had this the other night for dinner. It was delicious! I put cooked white rice on the bottom of my casserole dish, then the chicken, then the cracker/poppy seed mix. It worked out rather well! I've now printed this out and added it to my recipe book. Thanks Caroline!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favs too! My sister in law told me about this recipe!! YUM! See you this weekend!
